One Night Art Show

I was asked to participate in a multimedia art installation that included live music, comedians, paintings, sculptures and photography at a local community center. I jumped at the idea of sharing my fine art photography with others. The show was titled RAZZMATAZZ and I had some abstract colorful images from a past gallery show on the walls and stacked away that I wanted to share. These one night only art shows are a great reason to always have some of your photographs printed, framed and ready to go. Often times these shows are themed, so try to have a few different sets of images printed. If you don’t have room for a bunch of framed photos, you can always swap the images in the frames you have. There are few other things you will need besides the art, a bio or artist statement. It’s a good idea to have a short statement and more in-depth statement. I know for me I don’t really like to write artist statements but as an art lover I enjoy being able to read a little something about the artist when I’m viewing their work. Next up titles for your work, at least have a simple description like mountain #1 water #2 etc. Finally have a price list figured out, you might just sell some of your art.
