The Whio/Blue Ducks of New Zealand

I was lucky to stumble upon this pair of Whio/blue ducks on the south Island of New Zealand. What started as an attempt at photography the Hollyford River quickly turned into me just photography and filming this pair. I didn't learn until later on that these ducks are endangered. There is an estimated population of less then 3,000 due to predation (by non native stouts and possums) and habitat loss.
